This years Club Championship will be played in two groups, A and B. The A group is for those graded 130 and above; the B group is for those graded below 130. The games can be played between now and the end of April 2011. In May 2011 we will arrange semifinals and a final for the two top players in each group, so those in group B may yet be the overall champion.
The scoring in the league will be 3 points for a win, two for a draw and one for a loss. This favours players who play but lose over those who do not play their games. It is your responsibility to arrange matches with your opponents. The more of your games you get played, the more points you score, and the better chance you have of winning the title!
The time limit is the same as the league matches we play: 75 minutes for 35 moves, and the rest of the game in a further 15 minutes. Games will be graded with the ECF.
There is scope for new players to join in. If that happens, I will update the fixture list to include them.
Results and tables will appear on the club noticeboard and here at the website.
Please let me know all results. I can be contacted by phone, email, or through the website.
