Hanson Extravaganza

 Hi, folks.

It is time for our annual Extravaganza evening in memory of our dear friend, Jim Hanson, who used to run it for us.

It will consist of 4 rounds with 15 minutes each on the clock.

We hope to have prizes for all (donations of prizes accepted).

Do join us - 7.30 pm SHARP - Wednesday 24th November.

There will also be a nice chess set (pieces and board) for sale - proceeds to the club.

Also a reminder that annual subs are now due!

See you soon,

Online Chess

It doesn't look like our chess club is going to be able to restart over the board chess until the spring at the earliest.

In order to give our members access to chess, we are setting up Mold Chess Club on chess.com. chess.com is free to join, and you can search for Mold Chess Club and ask to join, or you can let me know and we will get an invitation emailed to you. Many thanks to Jon Mayberry for setting this up.

If there is enough interest, we will try to run some competitions. There will be a separate competition for juniors.

We are new to this, so there may be some teething troubles. nevertheless, it would be good to have some chess among us. Any problems, please get in touch.

In the meantime, please keep safe.

Stephen Dunning
