Christmas Dinner

Wednesday saw us enjoy the club Christmas Dinner at the Drovers, who provided us with an excellent meal.

The meal was preceded by a simultaneous display by Ifan, our club's strongest player. He played 10, won 8, drew 1 and lost 1.

This was an enjoyable evening, and is becoming a regular in the club calendar. Thanks to all who helped organise things.

Christmas Dinner

The Chess Club Christmas Dinner is on 19th December at the Drovers. It will be preceded by a simul chess competition given by our very own Ifan! The time we sit down to eat is still to be confirmed.

The meal is for club members and their families, and if last year's meal is anything to go by, it will be a great social occasion.

I will need menu choices and a £5 deposit per person by 5th December at the latest.
